912 Kings Cross
www.LittleNeckNow.com
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we were heading north on Little Neck Road. Our target was a 2:00 pm OPEN HOUSE at 912 KINGS CROSS in Middle Plantation. The home had just come on the market and we had studied every fact and nuance to be found at the home’s website: www.LittleNeckNow.com. Of particular interest to us was the Updates & Upgrades link which described what the owners had so professionally and proudly done.
Turning right onto Harris Road we cruised to Stapleford Chase then took a left on Kings Cross. 912 was several homes down on the right. The curb appeal was even better than the photographs and virtual tour portrayed. It was precisely 2 pm and Claudia Hudgens was there to greet us and welcomed us into what was surely to become our next home.
While the foyer was certainly welcoming, the gleaming Brazilian Cherry floors were everywhere….foyer, living room to the right, dining room to the left, family room to the back right, and kitchen to the back left. The open floor plan and freshly painted walls and trim truly appealed to us. In the family room the expanse of glass windows and doors opened up the room to the deep back yard….and the recently rebuilt lanai….making a large room feel even larger. Ceramic tile and new woodwork covered the fireplace & recessed lighting brightened the space, reflecting off the cherry floors.
The nearby breakfast nook opened into the large kitchen which had – like the rest of the house – been updated. Through the utility area I walked to see the garage, and it too had been painted & a Husky wall system installed. My husband was impressed!
Access to the upstairs was super convenient – either from the foyer or kitchen. Taking the latter route I landed in the 5th bedroom, which happened to be over the garage. It was spacious and could have many uses in addition to sleeping. Up a few more stairs and we were in the main bedroom area where we found 4 comfortable large – and tastefully redecorated rooms with large windows letting in sunlight filtered by the trees. New carpet had been installed throughout the upstairs. The upstairs hall bath – like the downstairs half bath – had been updated.
The master suite was phenomenal. Recessed lighting, crown molding, walk-in closet, and natural light from the large windows. The master bath was even better with its fieldstone tiles, dual step in shower, soaker tub, new fixtures, recessed lighting, pedestal sinks.
We looked at each other and I said, “OK, I’ll go down the foyer staircase and you go down the back stair case, and let’s find Claudia and get her to write an offer on this house. Right now.”
So off we went looking for Claudia and determined that we had found the home of our dreams in Middle Plantation. We had mentally already moved in.
